Karthik Muthu Joins HealthSouth Ocala as CEO
HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Ocala welcomes Karthik Muthu as CEO. He began his new role on Oct. 3.
As CEO, Muthu oversees the hospital’s day-to-day operations as well as patient quality and care and comes to HealthSouth Ocala after serving in the associate administrator role at HealthSouth’s rehabilitation hospital in Glendale, Arizona. He has more than eight years of rehabilitation program management experience and strong clinical knowledge from working as a physical therapist and as a medical rehabilitation surveyor for the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) International.
Muthu received his master’s degree in physical therapy from the University of Central Arkansas and his bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from Vel’s College of Physiotherapy in India. Currently, he is pursuing a master’s degree in business administration with Cameron University.
HealthSouth Ocala is an inpatient physical rehabilitation hospital that serves patients recovering from conditions such as stroke and other neurological disorders, cardiac and pulmonary conditions, brain and spinal cord injuries, complex orthopedic conditions, and amputations.
